The small cemetery where this picture was taken has been the center of many reported cases
of paranormal activity. Like many urban tales, the story of it's tragic history may have some
basis in fact although I think it has been exaggerated over the years. The stories include a
fire that was supposedly set by the daughter of a local family in which the entire family lost
their lives and were buried in this family burial ground. The daughter was committed to an
asylum from which she escaped. According to the story, her lifeless body was found there one
winter day with no apparent cause of death. In spite of the negative atmosphere reported by
most people who have been there, I strangely always felt a sense of welcome. I had been
there many times and one night took this picture. When I first reviewed the pictures I had
taken that night and came across this one, something seemed "odd" to me. It looked like
there was a third granite gate post. It was when I looked more closely that I saw what
appears to be a woman in profile, looking upwards with her hands clasped to her chest.
Pictures taken immediately before and after have nothing similar in them. I have many years
of experience in paranormal study and this is one of only two photographs where I feel that I
captured the image of a full bodied apparition. Kathy
